Professionally, Marie is a CPA candidate and a calculated risk-taker with deep financial industry knowledge. Marie has completed Doctoral studies in Business Administration with a concentration in Analytical Finance (ABD), an MBA with a concentration in Accounting, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and has more than 30 years of experience in the forensic finance, auditing, and business arenas. Marie owns and operates Wade Financial Services, which has been in business since 1995. Marie is also a Realtor© licensed in Louisiana, and affectionately known as The Tax Lady.
Civically, Marie is an active political advocate and oversees the local and federal administrative and financial operations of the St Tammany Parish Political Party – maintaining fiduciary and operational responsibilities to members and constituents. As a candidate for the St Tammany Parish School Board District 15 in 2018, Marie ran on a platform of fiscal accountability and successfully championed for a School Board Internal Auditor.
Socially, Marie is active in Western Pleasure horse riding, the New Orleans Mardi Gras culture, and fancies a cigar or two. Board Treasurer Marie Wade is a resident of Slidell, LA. She is a mother of 2, grandmother of 1, sister, aunt, cousin, confidant, and friend to many.
